I wish I'd had my camera this morning. It was a gorgeous morning to be waiting at Worcester Park station with the bright sun rising in the deep blue sky, streaked only with distant cirrus clouds and the contrails of planes high in the air. It was a cold night which left the suburban rooves coated with frost, glinting in the morning sunlight that lit up clouds of steaming breath which rose from the waiting commuters on the platform.

Enough of that. WP's getting *another* charity shop. I spoke too soon when I mentioned Sue Ryder Charity and looks like they're going to exercise their right to use their shop that Mr Devine forfeited the lease of.

In other news the "restaurant that is taking forever to finish" is making progress with the whole place gutted and the back removed to make way for an extension. Don't expect it to open soon though.

Lastly, on my wander down to the station this morning there was a lorry parked outside the old "Going Places" travel lagents (which 'went')loading drywall in, so I'm guessing there's something new going in soon. I'll let you know when I have any more news.

Having mentioned lorries I saw one this morning with *2* GPS devices in the front, one for the driver and one for the passenger...... Erm, why?

I'll start this off by saying that my preferred cancer charity is the Royal Marsden (Sutton) so if you're stuck for charity ideas then give them some time/money. 

We got another charity scam flyer through the door but this one tries all of the tricks, while having no charity number or such like. As a starter it says "Clothing Collection For Breast Cancer Prevention Programm" (completer with typo) but after tha simple intro the serious manipulation gets going

Thanks for that. The whole flyer's full of this kind of stuff.... really not nice, particularly if you have any personal experience with it. They do give a phone number of 028 3084 9971, which I believe is Newry in Northern Ireland, but I haven't tried it.

If you go to the website it redirects you to a website in Lithuania with even more sobbing rhetoric and their bank details so you can transfer your money to them.
