More on Benn Dunne and the Worcester Park fitness centre(s)

After my earlier post and worcesterpark's observations a little Googling came up with this, which would seem to suggest that there aren't going to be multiple centres in Worcester Park after all but one in Motspur Park.

Whether the Surrey Comet just got it wrong or were too embarrassed to talk about Motspur Park I don't know.

I've now heard more people talking about the proposed Golden Arches in the ex-camping shop at the top of the hill so prepare for suburban unrest..... barricades on Central Road, unruly meetings at the library, fights at the Huntsmans (like that would ever happen), etc.

On an vaguely related matter Next are apparently advertising in the Hamptons for staff for a new store, no location stated but possibly in the WP area??

The Worcester Park Gallery

Having had reason to head up Central Road instead of the traditional down I was able to snap a few photos to expand the gallery, which you can now see here or view the slideshow here.

The "Closing down" signs have now disappeared at the Betty Boop shop (aka "Treasure Trove" so maybe they're going to make it after all. Also included in the new photos is "Model Road & Rail", which periodically turns up on Google searches and is included here solely for that reason as a shameless ratings plug. I would also plug my other popular Google searches such as the Hamptons, Lionel Blair's dog (aka dognapping), the stolen AA van, being 140 feet above sea level and such like, but that would be churlish now wouldn't it?

I did feel somewhat remiss as a blogger of all thing Worcester Park at not attending the Worcester Park Residents Association meeting at the library on Tuesday night but the guilt wore off pretty quickly in front of the TV watching footie. Anyone know what happened?

Breaking News:

On just checking the Sutton Guardian website it seems they've convicted the guys who did "that" incident at the Huntsmans a while back.
